LEVER TUBULAR HANDLE LOCK (REPLACEMENT DOOR KNOBS)
DESCRIPTION
Tubular Latch Mechanism: At its core, it’s a tubular lock. This means the latch mechanism (the part that retracts to open the door) is housed within a cylindrical or “tubular” casing that is inserted into a bore hole drilled into the edge of the door. The spindle, which connects the handles, passes through this tubular latch.
Quick-Fit Connection: This is Hoppe’s legendary system for fitting door handles quickly and easily. It uses a clamping mechanism within the handle and rose. The spindle (the square bar that goes through the latch) often has a unique design that allows the handle to simply push onto it, and an internal mechanism then clamps securely onto the spindle. This creates a stable and play-free connection without the need for traditional screws.
