Product Description:

The baseball bat steering lock is a popular mechanical anti-theft device named for its long, tapered shape that mimics a sports bat. Unlike traditional “bar” locks (like The Club), which often use two hooks, this design typically uses a single locking point and a long protruding “barrel” to prevent the wheel from being turned.

1. Physical Design

The Barrel (The “Bat”):
A long, solid rod usually made of hardened or tempered steel. This part is designed to be thick and heavy-duty to resist sawing, hammering, or bending.

The Handle:
The narrow end often features a soft foam or vinyl grip. This makes it easier to handle and prevents the metal from scratching your car’s interior.

The Locking Head:
Located near the handle, this section contains a heavy-duty “mouth” or hook that clamps onto the rim of the steering wheel. It usually uses a high-security tubular or barrel key which is difficult to pick.

Protective Coating:
Most models are vinyl-coated or have foam inserts inside the “mouth” to ensure the device doesn’t scuff or dent your steering wheel leather/plastic.
